Our web site design philosophy

We believe in the K.I.S.S. principle - "Keep It Simple...."

A web site is an electronic brochure, a catalog, an information delivery instrument, a promotional vehicle. In those functions, it must reflect the goals, personality and image its owner(s) wish to promulgate. It can an adventure - fun and exciting. It can be staid, formal and reserved. It can be interactive or it can be strictly informative.

A website must also be accessible by the majority, be they PC or MAC users. It must be downward compatible so the guy or gal running a trusty old P120 with an antiquated browser can get there the same as the person using the hottest thing going. It doesn't matter if they can't get broadband in their neck of the world, and their connect speed is only 28.8. Most of our sites load in 5-15 seconds for broadband, 15-20 seconds for 56k modems, and 30-45 seconds for 28.8.

What about Flash? Much as we love Flash, its usage should be reserved for very specific functions...like new release promos. It should not be the foundation of a web site. It's just too heavy on bandwidth. If you truly desire Flash, we can oblige, of course, but we'd really prefer it if you'd let us limit Flash use to specific and pertinent parts of the web presentation.

We work on UNIX servers only, specifically DREAMHOST servers, as they are "on the backbone" which means fast and accessible by the majority of the US and world, plus they are reliable, fair, conscientious and cost-effective.

We won't build scam sites, spam sites, porn sites, hate sites, sites with irritating pop-up advertising...you get the picture. If you're honest, honorable, ethical and want to build a solid site, contact us. Others please do go elsewhere.
