If you want original artwork and design, send me a description of what you are looking for and, if you can, something that shows the style of work you envision.
A word to the wise: Most publishers secure the artwork they want, done by an artist of their choice. Unless you are self-publishing, please check with your publisher before initiating contact with an artist on your own.

About Book Covers and Parts of a Book Cover or Book Jacket
First, if you are self-publishing, you'll have to determine the size of your book. Options are many. The two most recommended publishing services are Lightning Source and Create Space and both will provide you with choices of size:
After you determine your spine width, printers will usually generate a template for you and/or your artist based on word-count/page count or PPI (pages per inch). The number of pages will depend on your margins, your layout choices, the kind of paper you're using, the font-face selected, and the size of that font.
